My wife and I both have one of these. They are the best. It has a timer to let you know when to switch area to be brushed and the waterjet is adjustable to accommodate various gum strengths. You can brush and use the water jet at the same time if you want. I used to go for cleaning every 3 months, now I only go twice a year and could probably cut that down to once a year. My gums no longer bleed (or bleed very little, depends on the hygienist). I am very happy with the purchase.

I put toothpaste on the brush and turn the hot water on. I brush my teeth with the sonic on while the water heats up. The toothbrush “pauses” for a half second every 30 seconds. Once the water is hot I fill up the container while I’m still brushing my teeth. After the second “pause” at 60 seconds I add the water flossing while the sonic tooth brush is still vibrating until the reservoir is empty. Then I quickly floss with normal floss to finish the job.
