I had the same model for over 12 years and finally it died. The important thing to remember is to use rechargeable NiMH AA batteries. I use the Duracell brand and it will fit the battery compartment. The NiMH batteries will give you a much stronger pulsating jet than the alkaline AA because they carry a higher current flow. You will be pleasantly surprised. BTW, you should also pull out the tank periodically and gently clean the entire inside.
